FORPRO-REMOTE / GUIDE

Control a Windows PC remotely from your Mac

Install airdesk on Mac and Windows, prepare your host and connect with the same account. Check sharing permissions and troubleshoot connection errors.

Prepare your Windows host and Mac

The Windows PC runs your work as the host; the Mac displays and controls it. Connect both devices to the internet and install airdesk. Choose the Windows x64 or ARM64 installer that matches the host's system type.

Use the Mac installer offered for your processor on the download page. The current website download target is Apple Silicon. Open the DMG, move the app to Applications and launch it.

Sign in and enable sharing

Sign in to both apps with the same email account. Turn on My PC Sharing on Windows and check its readiness. The host should appear online in the Mac app's computer list.

To access someone else's computer, ask its owner to share access. Accepting a friend request does not automatically share a computer.

Open the remote screen and check input

Select the Windows computer in the Mac app and connect. Test clicking and typing in a simple app such as Notepad. Input and audio depend on the permissions and settings allowed by the host.

Sessions open in the installed app. The website manages accounts, computer lists and sharing. You do not need to configure Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) separately.

Connecting from Windows to a Mac instead

Enable sharing on the Mac and grant Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions. After changing macOS permissions, return to the app to check readiness and restart it if prompted. Select the online Mac in the Windows app.

If the connection or screen fails

Check host power, sleep settings, app status, account and sharing permissions. Update both apps and check that the firewall allows their traffic.

The service uses a direct connection, which some company networks may restrict. Look up any displayed error code and record the time, both operating systems and app versions when contacting support.
